UPDATE

Hi bloggies! Just a little update on my end just in case you're wondering. My mom is still in the Neuro ICU ward of the hospital until Wednesday next week. The doctors said that she's doing much better but should still be on watch because of possible complications that last about 14 days after the Coiling procedure. She opens her eyes once in a while but still can't talk.

I don't know how much longer I'll be away. But I'll stay as long as she needs me. I hope you're all well!

Hugs,
Jean

Going Home: Please Pray for My Mom...

Hi friends. I'm traveling home to the Philippines tomorrow to be with my family. My mom was rushed to the hospital because of an aneurysm and is in surgery right now. I'll be gone for at least 3 weeks. Please help me pray for my mom. Thank you.

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 55

***Scroll down for my WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peeks Day 3.***

Hi bloggies! I'm back for another round of Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I was trying to decide whether I should follow this card to the T...but then decided to add a little bit of "me" in it. :) Here's the sketch...

Here's my card for WMSC55. I used the Dainty Doilies Large Set to make the circles to follow the sketch. Then I adhered this beautiful Prima flower on top. I also stamped my favorite border stamp from Victorian Frippery on the left corner of the card and added a ribbon. I can never use Victorian Frippery enough! I also added a sliver of turquoise blue cardstock on the left side of the card just for a pop of color on that side.

As always, don't forget to browse through the cards of the other Mischief Makers as well as Waltzingmouse Stamp Design Team sites.

WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peek: Day 3

Hi bloggies! Welcome to Day 3 of WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peeks! One more day to go and everything will be available for sale over at the WPlus9 store! Excited?! I'm always so excited at every release. I can't wait to see everything revealed and I can't wait until I can get my hands on them!!!

My card for Day 3 is a combination of the release stamp sets. I used the gorgeous dress form from C'est La Vie, as well as the gorgeous flourish label and the coordinating Label Layers 2 Die. I was trying to be a little more adventurous with my colors for this card. You like? :) I also used Defining Words and other images from C'est la vie to make the background panel.

Once life goes back to normal around the house, I'm breaking out these stamps again and am planning on going crazy with them! lol! I'm sure you're all enjoying the release so far. I'll see you all again tomorrow!

It's also a good idea to head on over to Dawn's blog...there are prizes to be won ladies!!!

WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peek: Day 2

Hi bloggies! I'm back for Day 2 of the WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peeks! Today we're taking a look at Hope Seed Co. with a coordinating Vintage Envelope Die and Defining Words, a text background set. The Hope Seed Co. stamp set is just delish! I must admit, it's my second seed pack stamp set. But a girl can't have enough seed pack stamp sets!!! Let's get to it shall we?

I stamped one of the background text stamps from Defining Words along the edge of my card panel. I also stamped seeds and bloom above and below to frame the seed pack I adhered in the middle of the panel. The Hope Seed Co. stamp set also comes with flower images which I thought was just fabulous because I love floral stamps. I stamped the flower in the center, the frame, banner, and some text to make up my seed pack. I adhered it to a kraft Vintage Envelope that I die cut. I added the lace and stitching for more texture.

I'm hoping that you're enjoying the sneak peek reveals and all the cards from the WPlus9 design team. I'm heading off to New Port, Rhode Island tomorrow with family for our annual vacation trip. I'll make sure to schedule my posts for the next few days of releases. I hope they all go on right on schedule. Enjoy your weekend everyone! :)

WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peek: Day 1

Hi bloggies! I've missed all of you. I'm sorry for being away so long. My husband's family is staying over for 3 weeks at our house and it's been very busy. We've been bringing them sight seeing and shopping most days. I've had very little time for my card making since they arrived. It's really good I made my sneak peek cards ahead of time.

Welcome to the WPlus9 July Release Sneak Peek! This is Day 1, and first up is C'est La Vie and Label Layers 2 Die. If you're anything like me...you will LOVE this set. It's absolutely feminine and absolutely vintage! It was so much fun working with this set. There are so many images you can use just about ANYWHERE!!!

For my card, I stamped the dress figure and cut it out, inked the edges and adhere it onto this lovely patterned paper. I also used the label stamp that coordinates with the Label Layers 2 Die. They go together just perfectly! I added a little lace, ribbon and flowers...and here it is! I hope you like it. And I hope you'll join us for more sneak peeks this weekend. We have 3 stamps and two dies to release. You won't be sorry, I promise! These are just gorgeous! I am totally itching to share them with you!!!! :) But you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see more! Hee! :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 54

Hi bloggies! It's Saturday, and that means it's time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. And for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 54, we have the talented Miss Belinda Chang Langner providing this week's sketch for us. Here it is...

I was smiling when I saw this sketch. Isn't it cute as a button?! That's exactly what came to my mind and so here's my take on this sketch...

I wanted to do a CAS card for this sketch. It seemed like a great idea. And since I have several friends who've just had babies...what better to do than a baby card?! I kept this one pretty simple by stamping the lace background stamp from Faux Fun. I distressed and inked the edges to give it texture and height. Then I ran the twine through the buttons and adhered them of the panel with some mini glue dots. I used Say It Loud for the sentiment. After that, I just attached everything to a kraft card base...and that was that! :)

I know it's not my usual layered card. But I hope you like it anyway. And I hope to see all of you over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog.

As always, don't forget to browse through the cards of the other Mischief Makers as well as Waltzingmouse Stamp Design Team sites.
